The thermal imaging viewer is compatible with various adapters and has an M52 x 0.75 thread. The clip-on has a 256x192 thermal sensor and the pixel pitch is only 12 µm for a razor-sharp image. Due to the impressively low NETD of less than 35 mK, the thermal imaging viewer transmits very detailed thermal images. Those images are shown on the 1024x768 (0.39-inch) OLED display, with a frame rate of 50 Hz. The thermal sensor has a range of 1000 meters, making it possible to detect differences in heat even over long distances.
This thermal imaging viewer makes it possible to take photos and videos. You can do this manually by using the buttons on top of the HikMicro Thunder 2.0 Clip-On TE19CR thermal imaging scope or you can leave that to the recoil-activated recording. This function ensures that a short video with audio is recorded when the thermal imaging scope registers recoil. This creates a short video every time the trigger is pulled. The thermal imaging viewer has a 16 GB eMMC (embedded multimedia card) and the photos and videos you take will also be forwarded to your phone, provided you have the HikMicro Sight app.
The HikMicro Sight app is free to download and ensures that you are connected to your HikMicro device. After configuration, it is possible to adjust the settings of the thermal imaging viewer via the app and you can of course view the photos and videos in it.
The HikMicro Thunder 2.0 Clip-On TE19CR thermal imaging viewer is equipped with a Li-ion battery. When fully charged, the thermal imaging scope can remain on for up to 10 hours continuously. If the battery is empty, you can easily charge it or swap it with the other battery. To use a battery charge for even longer, use the standby mode. The thermal imaging viewer can easily be put into standby mode or activated again by using the buttons on top. There are five buttons in total, with the following functionality:
