Thanks to an insert ring that is round on the outside, the flashlight or IR illuminator can be freely aligned within the field of view for optimal illumination of the field of view in all directions. This mount can be mounted on the Weaver or Picatinny rail. Many night vision devices have a Picatinny mount.
