The foam can be used with the proven dosing device as well as with the supplied adapter.

Duftzaun® has been used in Germany since 1990 and is an indispensable part of many road sections as a means of reducing accidents involving roe deer and red deer. Even wild boar show very positive results. This system is also used on numerous roads in Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Spain with equal success.

In Germany, about 30,000 km of road have been equipped with Duftzaun®. The balance sheet is a wildlife accident reduction of on average 76%; in some cases even up to 100% in the correspondingly protected areas.

Mode of action:
Duftzaun® is based on a special foam, which is applied to accident focuses. The effect of UV radiation opens the fine pores contained in the foam, which release the fragrance - a composition of the odor constituents of wolf, lynx, bear and human being.

The sensitizing effect of the Duftzaun® is based on the interaction of scented cocktail, street noise and movement of the vehicles.

Application:
Duftzaun® can be easily installed by attaching foam depots along the endangered roads or road sections (accident areas) to pegs, road boundaries or trees. The once deployed foam depot withstands the weather for up to 5 years.

In the event of work breaks / interruptions, secure the dosing unit or close the adapter.
Adapters can be easily closed by kinking the capillary tube and inserting the end up into the provided "nose".

For an optimal effect of the scent fence, it is important to build a continuous fragrance barrier between the street and the forest or meadow. Therefore, place the foam deposits at intervals of approx. 5 meters parallel to the roadside on wooden pegs or trees in 2 staggered rows.
A tin of scented foam contains about 45 liters of foam. This corresponds to about 200 tennis ball sized foam balls. With a can of scented fence foam can thus be protected about 500m distance.
In order to maintain the effectiveness of the foam deposits must be at least twice a year with Duftzaun concentrate nachgeimpft.
